Maternal Heart Health: A Disproportionate Burden on Black Women with Sound Solutions

Objectives: After participation, the learner should be able to:
1. Recognize the current landscape of the maternal mortality crisis in the United States, including the racial divide and how it best relates to
the historical plights and social determinants of the health of Black women.
2. Identify the intersection of maternal health and cardiovascular disease.
3. Describe the main drivers in disparities in care and address sound solutions on ways to improve maternal health outcomes.
