After participation, clinicians should be able to:
1. Recognize the importance of screening with clinical and genetic testing of first-degree relatives
who are at risk for cardiomyopathy disease
2. Identify the challenges of genetic testing including variant interpretation and cascade testing
3. Recognize when to refer these patients to centers with specialized multidisciplinary teams
consisting of genetic counselors, clinical geneticists, and cardiomyopathy specialists
