Bridgette Ann Carr, J.D., B.A. gave the U-M Department of Psychiatry's 22nd Annual Raymond W. Waggoner Lecture on Ethics & Values in Medicine on November 1st, 2017 in the Ford Auditorium of the University Hospital. Her lively, accurate, and highly informative talk focused on identifying the victims of human trafficking in the healthcare environment and the advancement of comprehensive domestic and international anti-trafficking policies. The talk exceeds the state medical licensing requirement for Human Trafficking.
This Lecture was part of the Raymond W. Waggoner Lectureship Series on Ethics and Values in Medicine, established in 1996 in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan in honor of the late Dr. Waggoner, emeritus professor and past chairman of the department of psychiatry. The esteemed lectureship is annual event to recognize Dr. Waggoner's enormous contributions to the University of Michigan medical center and to the profession, and to promulgate his interest in medical ethics.
Through this endowed lectureship, the department brings national/internationally experts to explore cutting-edge issues related to ethics and values in medicine.
