At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will:

  • Understand and identify how their own practice both contributes to and can reduce the challenge of opioid over prescription.
  • List alternative pain management strategies to reduce the use of opioids.
  • Reduce the use of opioids for pain management using best practice guidelines.
