Description:
Social Workers are at the heart of care in all environments, providing the understanding of the patient and their story– their psychosocial history; identifying the patient's strengths and resources – but also identifying the barriers related to disparity of access to services and systems of supports; and provide the basis of communication and case management for this diverse and complex population.

This training is part of the Social Work Clinical Grand Rounds - a training series organized by Central Office at the Office of Behavioral Health for Social Workers across NYC Health + Hospitals. The Grand Rounds will cover a diverse range of topics reflective of current best practices in the field of Social Work. The goal of the Grand Rounds is to increase Social Workers' competency while strengthening their impact in clinical practice. Participants will learn skills they can utilize directly with patients. This training is open to all disciplines. CEs will be available for Social Workers and Creative Arts Therapists; all other disciplines will receive a certificate of attendance.
