  • Creating Learning Objectives
    • The Office of Continuing Professional Development and Outcomes has adopted Bloom’s Taxonomy as the classification model for writing learning objectives.
    • Helpful Hints
    • Course objectives describe measurable behaviors or outcomes the learner will demonstrate or achieve upon completion.
    • When constructing learning objectives, first think about what outcomes you are trying to achieve.  What do you want the learner to be doing differently after taking your course?  This goes beyond knowledge.  Stay away from learning objectives that start with words like Understand, Learn, Know, Appreciate, etc.
    • Also, avoid using the phrase “be able to
    • Start the sentence with  "Upon completion of this program the learner will:  “assess the patient for the three most common symptoms for X”  or “integrate the new guidelines into their practice as evidenced by documentation found in the chart audit”

    • Please forward your zoom usage report after the meeting has ended to serve as the required documentation for an attendance record
  • Sign In Sheet/Record of Attendance
    • All live in-person educational activities require an attendance record which include the name of the attendee, an alternate form of identification (such as a license number) and their profession.  Please download the standardized template:  Click Here
  • Post Documentation
    • During the planning process, your coordinator will discuss what you will need to submit as post documentation for your event and where you will need to send all material.  The requirements vary based upon which credits you are awarding, how you are technically managing the activity and the type of educational activity.  Please submit all post documentation by the agreed upon deadlines in order to ensure that learners receive their credits in a timely manner.
    • Together, we can keep Dignity Health compliant with all of its accreditation guidelines.
